Terms of Service

Effective July 6, 2026

The service

CartSplit compares grocery prices across stores you choose and suggests how to split a shopping list. It is free to use. Prices come from data you import (receipts), pages you browse with the optional extension, price checks you authorize, and public store data where available.

Prices are informational

Prices shown reflect the moment and store location they were collected from and can be outdated, regional, or wrong. Stores set their own prices; the price you pay at checkout is the store's price, not ours. CartSplit makes no guarantee of savings — the comparison is a decision aid, not an offer.

Acceptable use

Don't abuse the service: no automated scraping of our APIs, no submitting fabricated price data, no attempts to access other users' information. We may throttle or block accounts that do.

Third parties

Store names and trademarks belong to their owners; CartSplit is not affiliated with or endorsed by any grocery retailer or by Instacart. Outbound links may be affiliate links (see the Privacy Policy). Checkout happens on the store's or Instacart's site under their terms.

No warranty; limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CartSplit is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and its total liability for any claim is limited to $50.
